The Warwick Hotel
5701 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005
The
historic hotel was built in 1925, and includes an Aubusson tapestry from
the 1700s and wood panels from a French chateau dating back to the turn
of the 19th century. A recent renovation has preserved its classic beauty
and added a modern flair. For longtime Houstonians, the Warwick remains the measure of luxury and good taste. It also boasts one of the most awe-inspiring views in town, comparable (as Bob Hope once noted) to anything you'll find in Paris. One of the great things about the Warwick is that it's within walking distance of Houston's top museums and the shady, tree-lined streets of Rice University. Also nearby is Hermann Park, which has jogging trails, a golf course, and the Miller Outdoor Theater, sponsoring free weekend performances in the summer. |
